Supreme X Louis Vuitton Sport Sneaker
The Supreme X Louis Vuitton Sport Sneaker is the product of the collaboration between the Parisian fashion house and the New York based skateboarding clothing range. The luxury shoe collection features a mixture of premium leather and is also available as Run sneaker apart from the Sport version. Both the pair of shoes come with the signature LV logo alongside Supreme’s branding. The footwear were first released on June 30 alongside other X apparels and accessories at pop-up locations in Paris, London, Sydney, Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, Miami and Los Angeles. A wider release was completed on July 17.
While the Run sneaker come in single-tone white, red and black colours with a gum covering the outsoles, the Supreme X Louis Vuitton Sport Sneaker collab are available in two-tone palette: a white base with red side design and a gum outsole; and a black base with brown side design and a gum sole.
The plush leather and minimalist design helps the collaboration to highlight the best of brands – LV’s use of high quality material along with Supreme’s superb design. A fan of any of the brands will want to jump at the opportunity of buying the sneaker. What’s more, the shoes also have the trademark monogram of both the brands along with the availability of the traditional red colour.
Like other Supreme x Louis Vuitton apparels, the sneakers are already selling on Ebay at an inflated rate. While they were originally slated to carry a price tag of $580 to $750 range, sellers on the ecommerce website are retailing them for as high as $2500! The absence of an online platform to sell them and limited edition of the same available in select cities and stores has led to the absurd prices of these LV X Supreme brand. As these limited edition sneakers are not available online or in all cities, several fans and buyers might be fooled into paying the expensive prices. However, a sane idea would be to travel to the stores in nearby cities and buy the apparel personally. This will ensure you the originality of the product and keep you at bay from fake sellers.
Supreme has always been a popular brand when it comes to Sneaker, especially among the millennials. The collaboration with Louis Vuitton is a win-win situation for both. While LV gets to target the most sort after audience (the millennials) with this collaboration, Supreme gets a badge of elitism with this partnership.
