Rolls-Royce ‘Wraith – Inspired By Fashion’

Rolls-Royce is a British luxury brand with history in designs and automotive creations as far back as 1906. With the combined efforts of Henry Royce and Charles Rolls. We were honoured to be invited to the Rolls-Royce showroom during London Craft Week at H.R. Owen, launching the first limited edition ‘Wraith – Inspired by Fashion’. It’s alleged that Rolls-Royce may only manufacture two other ‘Wraith-Inspired by Fashion’ making a total of three owners for this particular edition.

This is the ONLY ‘Wraith-Inspired by Fashion’ that has been completed to-date, and the fact that it is currently in London – home of the founding fathers of Rolls-Royce, makes it that much more special.

Giles Taylor, Director of Design for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars commented:

“This iteration of Wraith provides a canvas for materials and finishes most commonly associated with the world of fashion. Inspiration was sourced from international catwalks and Bespoke Tailors, resulting in an aesthetically stunning and sartorially on-point motor car.”

The ‘Wraith – Inspired by Fashion’ has a two-tone exterior colour scheme of Andalucian White and Arctic White. This offers a neutral setting for a choice of accent colours, namely Jasmine, Tailored Purple or Mugello Red. Wraith’s signature shoulder-line is accentuated deftly with the addition of a hand-applied feature-line in the chosen highlight colour, alluding to the divergent interior of the motor car.

We have spoken in depth about the exterior design, lets now slide over to the interior which is just as exceptional. The colour theme of the interior compliments the exterior – white and purple (as seen in our images), from the accents on the doors which are in soft touch purple silk material to the steering wheel which is in purple and black leather.

If you ask me, it’s the minor details and accents featured in this piece of automotive art that really make you appreciate the intricacy and the heights at which uniqueness can be taken to. The colour choice was perfect as purple is well known to be one the few colours used to represent luxury, it comes to no surprise as it being the choice for the Rolls-Royce ‘Wraith – Inspired by Fashion’. This is more than a car, this is a fashion statement.
