Louis Moinet Kazakhstan Tourbillon
We sat down with Louis Moinet’s CEO Jean-Marie Schaller at their stand in BaselWorld this year and specifically asked to be shown one-of-a-kind pieces. Without much hesitation he called his assistant and asked for her to bring a few pieces. One of the pieces that was brought forward was the Yellow Gold Kazakstan 1 of 1 Tourbillon.
This piece was amazing to see up close and personal screaming elegance. The dial of this unique piece was the most eye-catching. As well as the case of the watchcase in yellow gold, the dial has been designed with the Kazakstan emblem, having the two mythical horses in yellow gold also. There is a calming blue colour that adds a sense of calmness to the yellow gold case and detailing. What is so amazing is that the watchmaking team at Louis Moinet have managed to bring the feel of Kazakhstan and meticulously represented this on this distinctive timepiece. In addition, the watch comes with a genuine glossy alligator leather watch strap.
Unlike the double-tourbillon and Memoris that were released by Louis Moinet this year as novelty pieces, this has a single tourbillon and is fantastically situated at the 6 hour marker. This watch doesn’t have any hour markers visible but in all honesty I don’t think this is necessary. It already oozes with premium quality and essence that seeing numbers on the dial is the least of your worries.
Like always, we would love to see this on the wrist of collector who truly appreciates the detail and craftsmanship that has gone into this piece unique making it a piece of art.
