Jacob & Co. Brilliant Arlequino Flying Tourbillon Unique Piece.

This year at Baselworld, we stopped by Jacob & Co. to see their most unique pieces. With an expectation of pure diamond creations, it came as no surprise when they displayed their novelties. Whilst most of their pieces can be redesigned on request, we wanted to see what 1 of 1 pieces were currently available. They presented several one-of-a-kind watch pieces, but for us the stand-out design was The Brilliant Arlequino Flying Tourbillon.

This model is a development of the Arlequino concept which was designed in 2015. This time around the 47mm can be found under two categories within their respective collections – The Caviar and the Brilliant Baguette.

The diamonds under Brilliant Baguette category fall under the baguette cut, however, for the Brilliant Arlequino Flying Tourbillon Unique Piece Jacob & Co. have made this model a little more exciting by adding an array of coloured baguette diamonds to enhance its appearance. Most would agree this model is very colourful and can hardly go unnoticed.

The Brilliant Arlequino Flying Tourbillon is inspired by the Harlequin character in the commedia dell’arte with its multi-coloured costume decorated with diamond-shapes.

The watch trim offers a combination of diamonds, rubies with pink, blue, green and orange sapphires all selected for their colour intensity. An interesting fact of the Brilliant Arlequino Flying Tourbillon is that the diamonds set, appear to be random, though, this is not the case. The design arrangement of the baguettes have been done with precision to strike the balance between the different shades adorning the dial.
